Product Description:
The THC Rapid Test (Oral fluid) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the detection of 9-THC (THC parent) in human oral fluid at a cut-off concentration of 15ng/ml.
How to use?
DIRECTIONS FOR CASSETTE USE
Allow the test cassette, oral fluid collector, collection chamber to reach room temperature (15-30°C) prior to testing. Instruct the donor to not place anything in the mouth including food, drink, gum or tobacco products for at least 10 minutes prior to collection.
1. Sample Extraction
① Take the oral fluid collector out of the sealed pouch and insert sponge end into the mouth. Actively swab the inside of the mouth for at least 3 minutes to collect oral fluid until the sponge becomes fully saturated. Gently press the sponge between the tongue and teeth to assist saturation. No hard spots should be felt on the sponge when saturated. Note: Full saturation of sponge is very important to get enough oral fluid for processing. Otherwise, false or invalid results may be observed.
② Take the collection chamber out of the sealed pouch and have it unscrewed. Remove the oral fluid saturated collector from the mouth and place it into the collection chamber. Press sponge fully against the strainer to release oral fluid to the arrowed point level and then screw it back tightly. Discard the collector.
③ Gently shake the collection chamber for 10 seconds and then leave it for 10 minutes.
2. Test Reaction
④ Take test cassette out from sealed pouch, place it on a clean and level surface.
⑤ Again gently shake the collection chamber for 10 seconds and snap the tip open, invert it and then transfer 3 drops of oral fluid specimen (approximately 120 µL) into specimen well(s) of the test cassette. Start the timer.
⑥ Wait for the coloured line(s) to appear. Read results at 5 minutes. Do not read results after 15 minutes.
⑦ Apply a security seal over screw cap of the collection chamber and send to the laboratory for confirmation if necessary.
